I know you've received this request before but please don't let the Falcon die. Instead bring it to the states to compete against the SS! Thank you, that is all.

Where would it fall with the current Fusion, Taurus and SHO lineup though?

Dear Ford, bring this car to the US now! You should of done it years ago. This is one of the best cars you've ever produced. Stop rolling out special edition Mustang packages every other week and give us this car.
BmanUltima's car still hasn't been fixed yet, he'll get on it tomorrow, honest.

It will be their four door, rear wheel drive muscle/sports car. Competing against the SS and the Charger.

I ventured over to the Ford AU site and had to quickly leave after seeing the Mondeo's, Falcons, 2 door FiST's and turbo I-6's in everything. Why does Australia get so much awesome?

You're getting the Mondeo now too, right? The Fusion and Mondeo are now the same car. Sedan only in the US, while the European market gets a wagon and probably a hatch as well, but still.

US Fusion is Fwd/Awd and not a very good Awd at that.

It would create its own segment in the Ford lineup. Ford doesn't have a RWD sedan. It would be able to compete not only against the SS but also the SRT twins (300 & Charger). Although I'm not sure how many people actually cross shop those. The most comparable vehicle to those that Ford has is the SHO but its AWD. Would the addition of the Falcon to the US lineup take away some sales from their other models like the SHO and Mustang? Sure! But each model would still have its own target market.

Or...bring it to the US as a Lincoln.

THIS! I want a performance oriented, rwd sedan... I believe a lot of people would like a ecoboost or v8, manual trans, rwd sedan. I've been wanting a 4dr Mustang for awhile. For those of us with a family, and who don't want to/can't spend M3 or CTS-V or simply don't want a luxury brand.
Why not Charger? Maybe its just me, but I think a Ford would be more reliable and MT.

Chevy has three full-size models (Impala, SS, and Caprice), as does Hyundai (Azera, Genesis, and Equus), so Ford can certainly have two. The Taurus is the mainstream FWD full-size, competing with Impala, Avalon, Azera, and Cadenza, while the Falcon could be their RWD, performance-oriented full-size, competing with the SS and Charger.
Moot point anyway. The car is nearing the end of its production cycle, was never designed to easily comply with FMVSS or convert readily to LHD, and would be totally unprofitable to import from Australia, even if a market for it existed.
